It is something else to have to explain to seasoned techs that if they aren't parsing the issue as a people problem or a technical problem right off the bat, they are going to end up wasting a lot of time. Like how did you not come to this a long time ago? You can't fix people problems.

the interesting thing about dyslexia, is that its different in every language and the rates are similar but lean in different directions for different languages making it hard to detect and diagnose. But mostly because dyslexia is a written language reading and writing situation, its only recently in human history that so many people can read and write.

Probably depends on where you live but if its gross just put it in the garbage. If you are concerned about the workers safety, put it in a box and fill the box with other trash so it doesn't present a danger. Not all glass can be recycled even if its put into the recycling bin. But even glass that is not recyclable can be used for lots of other things. One of the cool things I discovered a bunch of years ago is that junk glass that isn't recyclable can be used to capturing methane from old landfill (they create a thick layer of crushed glass on the top of the old landfill and then cover that with a membrane and then they can suck the gas that is stuck between the glass layer and the membrane.)

It's ridiculous to look at the modlog and see it in real time

It's like they are inviting us to find out what will trigger it haha

I was browsing scaled and found a post that was dumb from that community and downvoted it. It only had a 1 score, so I took it to 0

I wonder if that will do it

I don't know what to say....

I have had these 3 alerts but I can't seem to clear them.

My wife and I are looking to have a vacation in Scotland and we're trying to figure out what we should plan. We are American but don't care for tourists traveling. I love to feel a more realistic local experience. My favorite memories of our Ireland trip are small town pubs and rural scenic places. The museums like the one in Trinity College was good too. I enjoyed walking the backstreets of Dublin and finding the Stags Head pub.

Thank you for any advice.

Anyone else notice that lemmy.world federation seems to be broken? All my communities with them (and probably more instances) appear to be devoid of activity.

PNW Washington State USA Spring flowers.

Where I work, there's a computer museum. I was going through some boxes and found this. The real jem here is the 16bit version.

It seems that the server was broken for more then 24 hours and I wasn't sure who to contact. So, who do we ask to reboot or fix the instance if its down?

So I'm noticing that I don't seem to get any engagement when I'm posting replies to posts generated on other instances. Just now I thought I'd go directly to a thread on lemmy.world to see if my comment was showing there but it isn't. Other non lemmy.world users are showing up.

Does anybody else notice this or is it just me?

Example: https://lemmy.sdf.org/comment/6595136 My comment

https://sh.itjust.works/comment/6752604 Who I replied to

https://lemmy.world/comment/6161325 Where the thread originally was posted

Edit: the issue appears to have resolved

The first Go-Go's album is such a great jam.
