Apparently "do your job or fuck off and go away" doesn't exist in the Christian vocabulary.

How about:
1 Peter 4:15

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

Or maybe 2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.

--1 Timothy 2:12

Please be quiet, Kim Davis, thus sayeth your lord.

(No, I'm not condoning a misogynistic stance with this - just using their own beliefs against them. Cherry-picking and selective interpretation works both ways.)

I'm just a fan that busybodies are in the same tier as murderers.

Lol, right?

And I believe that they see all sins as equal. Which, to me, means "go big or go home".

Fuck I’m even an atheist and I might put that on my car 🤣… so worth it.

Kim Davis is like if Nextdoor came to life.

Normally, this would be dismissed out of hand and not even qualify as news. But this is 2024. With this supreme court. A supreme court that already has officially said that marriage equality is in their crosshairs, and gave marriage equality opponents a roadmap to getting a case before them. There is a very real possibility that they take up the case just because they feel like it and use it as justification to annul gay marriages nationwide in one fell swoop. And if you don't think they'll go that far in their ruling, then I just suggest you look at.....well, .....virtually every ruling they've made so far. Their entire approach has been to basically nuke it and everything remotely related to it from orbit.

Gay people should be very, very nervous about this case being brought back from the dead.

[A long paragraph I deleted prior to posting, speculating about what SCOTUS would/could do with a case like this.]

Which, I guess, is to say - if evil motherfuckers can dream it, these evil motherfuckers will do it.

These people are as delusional as the Project 2025 people.
