I looked it up in the meantime, apparently it's standard Republican Senate fuckery if someone else is reading this.

The Postmaster General gets elected by the nine-member Board of Governors, that the President selects and the Senate confirms the members of. Obama nominated at least five people, the Senate confirmed none of them, and since terms were for seven years, the Board lost quorum, and delegated its powers to a Temporary Emergency Committee.

After Trump got elected, he nominated and the Senate confirmed eight people over his term. This gave the board a 5 member Republican majority, the legal maximum, but the Dem minority was also somewhat made up of Trump appointees.

Biden so far could appoint two people with Senate confirmation. Replacing DeJoy needs five.

It's a historic railroad bridge that has not been used for a while, steel construction, and it has been taken apart and put together many times before, sometimes for maintenance. IIRC the current mayor promised the people not to do it again, and then came Bezos, and then they didn't take it apart, they installed the yacht's masts downstream instead.

This is the bridge in question: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Hef

The Trump/Biden Post Office under DeJoy

That's the claim being made.

Could Biden have ousted DeJoy by now? Honest question, I really don't know the specifics.

Visegrád don't mean shit these days, the journalist is Polish, and worked with Radio Free Europe.

If anything, she's Western-biased.

It would do all the German people with their hearts in the right place a favour. However, Volkswagen is laying off workers in their hometown of Wolfsburg while heavily relying on their nearshored cheap Hungarian workforce in Győr, Hungary. They will take the money they get from that, and lobby the many times reelected centre-right German government to keep Hungary in, so the biggest engine factory of VW keeps being inside Schengen.

Hungary will get kicked out as soon as the EU will enforce that original ICE car sale ban by 2035.

The point being made is that you won't solve the issue if you divide society between men and women, instead of normal people and sexist bigots. The point is not to replace existing harmful sexist stereotypes with your own sexist stereotypes, but to come together and listen to each other.

If you at all accept that there are harmful but culturally ingrained gender roles

The problem is that all too often those harmful gender roles are only called out as being harmful to women, not to men, but they are. The solution to the gender roles issue is not digging trenches between genders.

It's not straight people, it's not men or women, or minorities or even white people, it's shitty people being amplified by their favourite billionaire to divide us and have us dig trenches between each other while they rob society blind.

Cali is a hit or miss, the Cali privacy reg has been so watered down compared to the GDPR it feels like the ad industry got it in to prevent future harsher regulations.

Lol, good luck getting that past the Germans. They want continued enlargement, Serbia, Ukraine, etc.

It would put Germany ahead of France in EU politics, and would provide more cheap labour for German industry.

The EU funded Orbán for decades without any real pushback, they were happy that he created a nearshoring centre for them inside the EU. The reason there has been no real opposition to Orbán in Hungary is because they would have had to go up against the unchecked uncounted EU money Orbán could spend on reelection. What remained of the opposition has been begging the EU for decades to give the money to the recipients directly, as in municipalities, to no avail.

Merkel did much more for Orbán than Fico or the Polish guy. The only reason the Germans are coming to their senses is because Hungary is no longer only selling out its people and its democracy to the German car industry, but to China and Russia as well.
