nerd protest for the sake of conducting the genocide more effectively is definitely enough reason to cut settlers some slack!

Can someone find a recording of him actually saying it? Telesur doesn't have any info on it. I can't tell if he was just joking and this is another Why China banned the letter N ridiculous premise you can only believe if you forgot that the enemies of the US still have functioning brains and aren't mindless drones.

Hey here's a quick one, literally the first sentence is a readaptation of the 14 words! Would you look at that!

Oh lol I also am outside of the US so I don't vote (except I'm voting for Trump by not voting for Kamala, as I've been told very often)

There are quite a lot of independent representatives and a handful of independent senators, though for what it's worth there are still some congresspeople and senators in the Democratic Party that aren't as disgusting as Harris herself. Many were successfully primaried by AIPAC sponsored candidates this election so they'll have to run as independents, however.

Vote independent of course, I'd propose you should vote for Claudia de la Cruz from PSL if you live in the states where they're on the ballot, and probably either Green or write in/don't vote if they aren't.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as always

I want you to know that the German capitlizing every noun thing made that post extremely funny.

I don't think you're wrong in spirit, but we are the "never again" crowd. It's a good motto to live by and it's entirely true. The fact that some people hypocritically use it to defend the genocidal state of Israel doesn't take away from how the rest of us should continue the remembrance of the Holocaust and vow to never allow genocide to happen again. Being Opposed to "never again" is something that you shouldn't do, even ironically.

At least in Star Wars they explain the context with the scroll at the start of the movie, libs think that Ukraine literally popped into existence in 2022.

If you're looking for some in depth discussion BreakThrough News just did a video on the subject.

"Not humanly possible" is a quote from an American swimmer commenting on the Chinese athlete's performance.

If China tested fewer athletes than the US, you'd call them lax. But they test more than anywhere else and that's sketchy because it makes this particular metric look better.

During the cold war, the anticommunist ideological framework could transform any data about existing communist societies into hostile evidence. If the Soviets refused to negotiate a point, they were intransigent and belligerent; if they appeared willing to make concessions, this was but a skillful ploy to put us off our guard. By opposing arms limitations, they would have demonstrated their aggressive intent; but when in fact they supported most armament treaties, it was because they were mendacious and manipulative. If the churches in the USSR were empty, this demonstrated that religion was suppressed; but if the churches were full, this meant the people were rejecting the regime's atheistic ideology. If the workers went on strike (as happened on infrequent occasions), this was evidence of their alienation from the collectivist system; if they didn't go on strike, this was because they were intimidated and lacked freedom. A scarcity of consumer goods demonstrated the failure of the economic system; an improvement in consumer supplies meant only that the leaders were attempting to placate a restive population and so maintain a firmer hold over them. If communists in the United States played an important role struggling for the rights of workers, the poor, African-Americans, women, and others, this was only their guileful way of gathering support among disfranchised groups and gaining power for themselves. How one gained power by fighting for the rights of powerless groups was never explained. What we are dealing with is a nonfalsifiable orthodoxy, so assiduously marketed by the ruling interests that it affected people across the entire political spectrum.

Love this guy's Rust and tech videos, feel like this one has some insightful and useful ideas about autism.

He rants to the priest about his failure to practice the revolutionary struggle and using his fascist Visa card to order pizza. But the priest is just an average conservative Catholic so he's just like jesse-wtf

This game is pretty cool, the demo is free on Steam and it's a good afternoon of content. Lots of interesting ideas that I haven't seen before in factory games.

If you like Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program, or Satisfactory, I'd recommend you check it out! I'm a playtester and have played with some of the features that are coming in the early access launch, they're very cool and it looks like the devs are pretty active.

Ah piss, I've created a post. Better luck next time. sadness

Been around since the old subreddit, always loved this community's humor and the relentless dunking. In fact I credit the aggressive posting with radicalizing me (I remember randomly clicking a thread from CTH and seeing people confidently saying communism will win, lambasting libs for not having anything close to a rational method for analysis, etc, and thinking that much confidence cannot be unearned so I got reading more). Ideologically I don't really label myself beyond socialist. I guess I lean more toward the ML side of things because I've read more Marxist theory than anything else, but I think Anarchists have a lot of great ideas too.

I'm a fairly young guy, about to graduate college. I'm not from the US but live somewhere that culturally may as well be the US sadly. I love thinking of plans for software, coding it for 3 days, and then deciding to play minecraft instead. Other than that I like a lot of games, I'm one of Hexbear's Path of Exile players which is itself a full time commitment. I've dipped my toes in 3d modelling and rendering, think it's pretty cool but it gets stressful quick. Same for music production, but that's extra hopeless because music has rules and theory behind it data-laughing.

Shoutout to our guild in PoE, Path of Hexile.

Anyone want to share atlas strategies? Insane PoBs? General theorycrafting?

Spoilers for the whole game.

The ending destroyed me. Both dream sequences were some of the best moments I've experienced in any game, but the second one especially struck a nerve and was an especially bittersweet bit of melancholy.

Also, the Deserter was such an interesting character, his dialog about witnessing capital taking off its human face was well written and heartbreaking.

10/10, not much else to say. (Maybe just a side note that anything other than Sorry cop, Communist, and psyche specialist HDB felt way too natural, like that was just the way you were meant to play the game).
