i clicked on that abuses of child developers link and am now very sad about all the fond memories i have had with early roblox.. imagine roblox but open source and run by cool people ;-;

They hate centralization unless they own the central entity. I think it's as simple as that. 
Yeah, I guess they just want that monopoly on...every aspect of people's lives. I suppose that is the inevitable "end goal" of capitalism, a single company producing 100% of the profit on everything.
Yeah I almost included that list in the post, every part of the list is horrifying. Roblox should be nationalized or shut down and their executives investigated.
Jesus fucking Christ I hate this stupid everything app metaverse bullshit. Every bougie wants to be the one to do it and none of them do it well! Overambitious idiots ruining things that were perfectly fine (even if Roblox could be called that) by chasing trends and current fads (:kelly:) that just pinky promise them more money, power, and influence.

they cant pull a minecraft and stick to being a kids game for multiple generations?
Minecraft being pretty damn good at it's core gives it appeal to any age group even if the target demographic is children. Roblox isn't really comparable to Minecraft it terms of core ideas and design.
i kind of really hate the vibes roblox gives me and i dislike that it had a resurgence in popularity over recent years
"Adults"
Some young 18-24 adults might be interested esp for the nostalgia factor. My uni has a roblox server where someone recreated our campus in it. Someone also played roblox music at some big outdoor party once, in a sorta ironic way, but it was somehow hyping everyone up
