I have an unreasonable hate for crocks, even it's your choice and I shouldn't care
They're at the level of slides and flip flops: a very lazy setup for going outside.
Which is a dissonance to me, the man clearly cares about people's perception of him as evidenced by the flag-cape, but not enough to put in any real effort.
He put effort into the part he cares about.
Have you ever worn them?
Yeah they’re admittedly kind of dumb, but they are also basically slippers that are waterproof and comfortable to walk in all day. There’s a lazy give-no-fucks practicality to them that makes them appealing.

Well I called them slippers, not rain boots, lol.
It’s nice that I can wear them while working outside, then hose off and still wear them to the store or whatever. I have a little pond so I can get all kinds of muck and mud on them & me.
