Welcome to CoverVerse, where the familiar tunes you love get a fresh coat of paint! Imagine a world where your favorite songs aren't just replayed, but reborn – sometimes with a funky hat, other times with a whole new wardrobe.

In this corner of the internet, we're all about celebrating creativity in music. Whether you're unearthing hidden gems of covers from the depths of the web or strutting your stuff with your own vocal or instrumental renditions, this is your stage. Here, a Beatles classic might turn into a jazz ensemble, or a Taylor Swift hit could get a rock 'n' roll twist – as long as it's not just tweaking the original track, it's fair game!

Think of CoverVerse as your go-to playlist for the never-heard-that-way-before versions of songs. But it's more than just a playlist; it's a community. Share your finds, applaud the creativity of fellow members, and maybe even collaborate to create the next cover that makes everyone go, "Wow, I never thought of it that way!"

As our community continues to grow and share incredible music covers, I want to introduce some simple posting guidelines. These are not hard rules, but rather preferences to help keep our space organized and accessible to everyone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

Post Titles: Let's Keep It Clear and Consistent

When posting your favorite covers, please format your post titles like this:

[Name of Artist Covering] - [Name of Song] by [Original Artist] (Genre Cover)

Example: Jane Doe - Rolling in the Deep by Adele (Jazz Cover)

This format helps everyone quickly identify the artist, the original song, and the genre of the cover at a glance.

Choosing the Right Link: Why SongWhip?

We encourage you to share links to the covers using SongWhip.com. Why SongWhip?

  • Unified Access: SongWhip aggregates links from various music streaming platforms.
  • Freedom of Choice: Everyone has different preferences for streaming services. SongWhip lets each person choose where they listen.
  • Privacy Consideration: We respect your data privacy choices. SongWhip allows you to enjoy music without being tied to a specific service, especially if you prefer to avoid certain ones.

Simply paste your link into the SongWhip.com search bar. Then copy and paste the SongWhip link into your CoverVerse post

Your thoughtful posting helps keep CoverVerse a vibrant, inclusive, and organized community.

Cheers,

copying a comment from youtube:

This song was sampled from a song called It's a Fine Day by OPUS III. The song does have connections to the Kleenex Commercial from even earlier, but the source for that is another song called It's a Fine Day by Jane. Jane made the song, Kleenex uses it in a commercial, Opus III samples it or re-sings the lyrics with their own track, and then Goreshit samples Opus III's song by speeding it up and laying breaks over it. It clearly wasnt sampled from the kleenex ad, but whether or not Opus III's verison is sampled or a new recording is the real question.
