I anticipate the Brazilian government will send a nastygram to Cloudflare, which will cause Cloudflare to give Musk an ultimatum of “stop fucking around or we won’t touch your traffic”. And Musk will probably call their bluff, and Cloudflare will not be bluffing.

Wanna go next Tuesday? I’m pretty sure I’m free then.
Be that as it may, it’d be minimal compared to the interference that terrestrial radio observatories have to deal with.
I guess I’m just saying that I don’t understand why you’re being so negative about the concept when it’s clearly going to be orders of magnitude better than existing antennae.
Even if you make them sub-surface, or otherwise shield them from the FOV of the antenna?
Fiber line to the bright side of the moon; transceiver there.
Which, bluntly, is absolutely insane, and betrays a fundamental (and for some, likely intentional) misunderstanding of the true intent and meaning of that eternal obligation, to the extent that it has deeply disturbing jingoistic echoes of the Nazi party itself.
Now get out there and make me some goddamn money ~huh~ ~huh~
SPAA is going to come back in a big way in the coming years. The effectiveness of these things in Ukraine is crazy.
I don’t think the Gepards support the round type, but some of the new precision-fused airburst rounds (the fuses are wirelessly individually set as it passes through the muzzle, AFTER round velocity is measured a dozen or so cm back (!!!) for maximum burst precision) are crazy. It’s like flak, but it knows EXACTLY where it needs to pop to frag the target, instead of “1000m +/- 100m”.
And then there’s directed energy, which is also going to get interesting.
Note that some issue devices have VT-x disabled and the bios locked down by Corp IT for one reason or another, so a VM may not actually be possible from the work issue device here.
Tbh, just run the Ubuntu box headless and ssh into it. You can do anything you’d need to. Even better, swap it to Debian or something like that, because Ubuntu is unfortunately kinda undergoing gradual enshitification lately.
Sure but there’s no fuckin way they get to hold onto the pound sterling if they want back in.
