I'm very confused by this statement. Does nobody in Belgium really go to bed before 10? If you knew your neighbor had to be up by 4am every day and had a child, and knew they had to go to bed by 8, would you not try to be nice if they were nice in kind?

I have not but I simpathise for you. I tried to word my reply to indicate that there were cases that didn't follow my rule of thumb... Cases like yours it makes sense to wake up... Frankly whenever.

I really think it is quite unfortunate how much grad/hex tainted communism. I'm not a communist, but I was open to good discussions about it, particularly because I know it's important to look at the flaws in your own systems.

Now? I'm scarred. I can't just assume a post js something posted by someone I could probably agree with after a discussion.

I assume something similar has happened to other users. It's unfortunately hard to grant someone the grace of assume they aren't a tankie when you know they're out there. I feel your pain and I'm sorry. I also don't know how any of us can change now.

I use Firefox, but the above #2 is why I almost switch back. Since using Firefox, my password manager is becoming a mess on mobile because my phone uses Google manager and my browser uses Firefox. That by itself is almost worth paying for YouTube premium for me.

Good to know, but can we... Not talk about it? Courts will do their thing, and the last think I want is another guy that can pretend that normal charges are a witch hunt because 'the left' is coming for him.

I agree with you and also am disappointed with how the article abuses language. This is in no way shape or form something that should be called Gerymandering, and to do so confuses a word that really deserves to not be abused.

I expect it likely works quite well in a community where everyone knows and agrees to that. In my opinion, when the pond gets too big it becomes too hard to tell if what the abrasive-but-fair from the just-being-a-jerk comments

Like, I was distracted for hours and couldn't sleep then couldn't work because of a side-comment insult im a post because it went against someone I strongly believe in. Had to research everything that was being said in the post and carefully reply to move on. That is not the life I want for myself. Don't know how much of that really apply here, since like someone else said, I haven't actually seen 'mean' hexbear comments outside of hexbear, and never gotten one.

Most people can't just move on when they see something that distrubs them, and I think it would be unhealthy for most to change.
