While annoying from a right to repair perspective, I do think this will be a good thing overall. There is a whole industry for snatching phones and getting them turned into parts.

In my city, go to the sketchy grocery stores and there are machines that you can just put a phone in and get cash for it. Pretty much no questions asked. Crackheads and tweakers on main street will smatch a thousand dollar phone out of someone hands so they can get $100 so someone can sell all the parts for a few hundred. I feel a pang of anger every time I see someone using one of those machines.

It's kind of a simular to how there is an underworld for cadaleidic converters. I guess the government can try to make laws trying to somehow regulate used phone parts, but I'm not sure how that'd actually be effective.

I see it more of a way to alert the user that devices might not work as expected if there is red. From the manufacturer perspective, they want to minimize the number of phonecalls that a webcam/mic isn't working and red will more likely get user attention before someone calls

The few bits of lore that exist are probably going to be fumbled. I really do hope they do just have herobrine in the background of some scene. The trailer looks like they are going all in on hoglins, which I'm completely meh on. Endermen are probably too scary for a little kid movie tho.

When/if democrats can Energize the base, they don't need to give a shit about undecideds. but until then, we are stuck pandering to the people we know will actually show up to and wait at the voting booth

I know the rest of the comments here are all really negative but I want to bring some positivity.

I'm so happy for him that he's lost all that weight. That's an incredible achievement.

Also, it's one of the craziest swerves of all time on YouTube. Dude was one of the biggest lolcows on the internet. I'm sure several drama YouTubers had to trash videos. Like, even just a week ago he released a video where everyone was like, "he's gonna die any day". And he was just losing weight this whole time and he had that much of a backlog of videos. That's unhinged but in the best possible way. I'm just happy and impressed for him.
