Can you clarify what the problem is that this solves? Your charging cable wiggles too much when it is plugged into the top? If so, I don’t appear to have that issue at least that I’ve noticed.

What a well-timed and interesting video. I just saw my doctor earlier today and we discussed medications to address my anxiety which appears to be exacerbated or induced by ADHD. He told me about the difficulties getting stimulant drugs and ended up prescribing bupropion (Wellbutrin) instead partly due to this issue. He did not make any mention of the role that the DEA or the profiteering of drug companies has apparently played in this situation.

Tend to start with top (day) for my subs and then switch to scaled once I get down to posts that are below 100 upvotes or so to see more posts from smaller communities that can’t make that ‘top’ cut.

Or you already use Proton Mail / Drive etc and want to save a bit of money with Proton Unlimited at 9.99 EUR/USD / mo. That’s why I switched from Mullvad. I do agree that overall though Mullvad is the best in terms of trustworthiness (so far as we know anyway)

The guardian article only summarizes a limited amount of the product test information. See here for more products that were tested: https://www.mamavation.com/health/condoms-lubricants-pfas-forever-chemicals.html#Not_Our_Favorite_Condoms

Yeah didn’t even think about the drop through trucks. I feel like they are a lot nicer because you ride much closer to the ground. Feels smoother and easier to push long distances with the lower center of gravity. From what I recall, longboards use a reverse kingpin set up compared to the normal kingpin trucks on short boards and that makes them feel looser and more surfy as well but just be aware it is going to feel quite a bit different to a short board. You won’t find yourself having to pivot the board around nearly as much which is nice.

I have been into longboarding off and on for the past few years and I have loved my Maestro Pro from Bustin. I don’t do any dance or tricks, just commuting and cruising. Honestly, I feel like you don’t necessarily even need a symmetrical board if you’re not into tricks though but this one would be a good option if you do want one. If you’re on the fence sign up for their newsletter and wait for a sale. They also make these cool hybrid boards which are pushable but also have electric assist but they’re a bit too pricey for me.

This kind of technocratic approach can sound great and it’s always good to have policy and positions formed by those most knowledgeable in the relevant field. The problem is that the “experts” that will likely have her ear will be the ones that are vetted and approved by the power elite, the wealthiest in this country who will largely recommend what is best to protect their privilege, wealth and position.

Agreed, but it’s not gonna happen. Too far left, two demonized by the right and I don’t think they want two women on the ticket. It’s 2024 and sad to say it will still be hard enough to overcome sexism for many voters just for Harris.

Not exactly what I was thinking of but still worth a sub!

Very interesting. I wonder if there is any website or resource that would allow a layperson to see how a specific study or even concept is considered by scientists in the relevant field. I think there are plenty of articles about studies that get a lot of traction on social media or even in traditional media that are perhaps quite preliminary or are not well designed and very quickly a good chunk of the population is using them to extrapolate way too much and considering it borderline gospel. It would be great to have some kind of a resource where you could look up a specific study and have scientists commenting or rating any concerns around reliability or replicability or the overall impact of the study.

Apparently, this also explains feature differences between the Xbox and Steam versions on PC, Including why the PC game pass version of the game does not yet have DLSS support.

The app gives a score out of 100 for each product scanned based on how healthy or harmful it may be and offers alternative products which may be healthier. The developers do not sell ads or user data and have a no influence policy which prevents brands from paying to place their products in the app. There is a premium version which is sold on a sliding scale (pay what you want) and it offers the ability to search for products or save the data to search offline and a few other things but the free version is totally functional for checking products at home or at the store.

These wasps are not single-celled organisms though, and their brains alone contain 4600 neurons. For reference, the brain of a honeybee contains ~1 million neurons. Despite their extremely small heads (again, look at that head next to the SINGLE CELLED amoeba) the wasps can still fly, seek out mates, and find thrip eggs to parasitize. So…what? How?
