Might’ve been my kid. Took him to the doctor a few weeks ago and as soon as we got to the check-in desk he decided to throw up all over the desk, the rug in front of the desk, and me. I had extra clothes to change him into, but of course I didn’t bring extra clothes for me so I got to spend the next hour at the doctors office smelling like vomit.

I got banned for downvoting. Kind of hard to take people seriously when they’re so sensitive to criticism that the equivalent of a thumbs down emoji gets you banned.

Same, except Will Arnett’s voice doesn’t make me physically cringe. It just makes me envious.

I’d solve it by making a tremendous deal! People always ask me, “how do you make such beautiful deals?!”

My understanding was that the money from the bad check was actually showing up in their available balance before it officially cleared. Then they’d withdraw the money before the bank actually rejected the check.

Don’t worry! I’m sure the default username and password didn’t get changed either.

The reason I think is because any unofficial and potentially unsecured communications access point seems like a vulnerability. If some moron posts a picture using that unofficial access point I’d be worried it could be traced to the ship’s location.

That seems like a significant security risk

I don’t know about “worse natural disasters,” but Voyager definitely had it worse. At least when the Enterprise crew ran into cosmic death traps they could call for backup, or get a nice maintenance overhaul at a starbase after some Q shenanigans.

Old, but seems relevant

Article in case anyone wants to read it

I built a PC for the family yesterday, and I'm hoping to get away with going 100% Linux. What makes me a little nervous is that Epic Games, GOG, battle.net, EA store, etc don't officially support Linux. If I try using Lutris, or Heroic Games Launcher, or something similar to use those platforms, is there a chance my account will get banned? I've seen some stories about people getting banned from Apex Legends using Linux, but since I don't play that one I'm not too concerned about it.

Has anyone had a bad experience?
