I was intimidated by formula C(#f3) in #iracing due to its longer race lengths. I'm more accustomed to shorter sprints. Huge fans of SF23 sprint format.

Finally did my first few F3 races at #vir and boy they're fun.

The first race wasn't super great, but my second race was fantastic. A midsplit race, ended up with p3.
Was battling most of the race so I didn't even realize the length. Huge fan now.

@BuddyTheBeefalo I don't even think the new apple VR is going to be capable of any kind of PC gaming. Unless I missed something last I heard there wasn't going to be any interfacing with desktops. Eventually. Probably still a few years out for what I'm really looking for. Even further for something affordable probably

I can't wait for #VRheadsets to become so light it's like wearing glasses. #simracing is literally next level in #VR. Especially with the new #buttkicker But I can only wear the #oculusquest2 for so long before I'm fatigued. (I know some can wear them all day and you're lucky!)
Been running #VIR all weekend with the #porsche #gt4 in #iRacing on triples. Hopped into VR and after a few laps I was already negative delta by nearly a second. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@BURN I've only been able to spend a bit of time with it but I really like it. I think it does add a lot to the feel that you normally wouldn't get from just the wheel.im still dialing in the settings but just sitting here feeling the LMP3 idle through my rig is really cool, let alone feeling when it starts to slip etc.
I'm lucky where my wife doesn't care about noise and my rig won't bother anyone where it's located. So I'm very fortunate there.

Never thought physically feeling rumble strips via the Buttkicker gamer plus haptic feedback system would be the highlight of my day.
Really enjoying messing around with this device. It has been a great addition to my simracing rig. Review incoming

@SmoothIsFast sure can. "hide obstructions" under settings. Somewhere in the middle. https://youtu.be/YSmLtfKmVrY

Back to #F4 in iRacing this week. #oultonPark is always a fun track.

@BURN awesome setup. That's a really clean build too. I've been eye entry level DD recently. It has been about a year that I have been using my TMX.

@Deftdrummer @ChoccyMilk I'll probably watch it just cause, but i'm not holding my breath on how well it will hold up. It would be nice if it exposed the world to what a real sim racer could achieve, but I feel like there will be a lot of Hollywood flare..

Just repositioned my monitors for a more immersive feel โ€“ the outer ones curved in after moving closer. Loving this setup! While I need a better dash-tablet mount, my current one does the job. Also eyeing the Fanatec CSL DD and Moza R5 lately... ๐ŸŽ๏ธ #iracing #simracing #moza #fanatec @simracing @iracing

@ChoccyMilk that's an interesting take that I had not thought of. I always avoided longer races because it was more of a commitment, time-wise. Not that I didn't want to, but just seemed like more of a big deal. Maybe I should give longer format races a shot! I know iRacing does a nords eduros that is like 2 hour long races iirc.

@funkmunki nice. Good luck with your journey. Looks like some decent content. What theme are you using? Cheers

@butter @Elegast it took me a while to get my invite. Probably about a month?

@M4rkF @selfhosted I've been using homarr(ahh someone beat me to it ๐Ÿฆ†)

@simracing @iracing Does anyone mainly play iRacing but frequent Assetto Corsa? Do you notice a re-learning curve when you go back to iRacing?
Do you perform more poorly in iRacing after racing in AC? Not like im top tier that it would really matter, but im curious how different others feel ac/iRacing are to be playing both comparatively.

@itsmikeyd oh nice I'll have to give this a shot when I get home. Cheers.
