But it's also hard to know what contemporary economists are arguing without reading those foundational writers

I'll share what a Harvard professor and copyright lawyer sent me in an email:

I write with a gloomy update for the Hachette v. Internet Archive appeal in the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals: The court affirmed the lower court's decision about CDL, and ruled that Internet Archive's Open Libraires program was NOT a fair use.

One shining moment though, was that the court ruled that a "Donate Now" button does not indicate "commercial use" for purposes of the fair use argument. (Phew!)

There is more to unpack here, but we will be hosting a series of CFR talks in the coming weeks to discuss the decision and it's implications.

Such a great game regardless! Romulus took some cues from the game and it definitely shows.

Or giant megacorporations each hire 200,000+ of them to create products for the non-magic folk to consume.

After a few decades, the idea of being a wizard is synonymous with working 8+ hours a day on magic that no wizard really wants and there is so little new spells and magic being created in the world that everyone wishes there wasn't any.

Then leaks come out that the products these megacorporations create have been slowly killing the planet and they've known for decades. But since they have so much power and money, nothing can stop them until the world dies.

I disagree. Trump surviving the asassination gave him a huge publicly. It should also be mentioned that Biden resigned shortly after, so this event really shook up the overall trajectory of the election.

Finding a good MusicBee alternative on linux. I just dual boot into windows whenever I need to convert FLACs and organize it. Otherwise I'm on Linux 99% of the time now.

Parents had one of these and we all collectively hated it. But it stood the test of time for 20+ years. This post brings back memories lol

Fiduciary responsibility to delay change and proactively be part of the problem.

Same! I find that things like listening to music way more fun. Oddly enough the songs feel like they last longer too

Not trying to troll or anything, but what can Chrome do that Firefox cannot?

I've always felt like Firefox has more useful features like screenshotting, etc.
