I feel your pain and understand the confusion. The Venom series was pretty good a few years ago under Cates. It’s gotten a little silly and away from the essence of the character in my opinion. It appears that Venom War may result in Eddie and the summits suit coming back together for a reset under a new creative team at the end of this year or early next year.

It will be interesting to see what the next creative team is and what their plans are. I’d personally like a series that was more focused on the headspace and psychological aspects of the character but the Venom series has been pretty bombastic lately.

For decades, it was Dark Horse Comics who had the rights to both Alien and Predator in the realm of comic books, putting out several series and one-shots that were well worth our time. With Disney's takeover of Fox's empire and all its properties, the opportunity to move both franchises to Marvel (also owned by the House of Mouse) came, and things changed for the first time in forever. So far, Marvel Comics' take on both franchises has been interesting to say the least, and you definitely shouldn't overlook the comics they have put out so far.

They are:

  1. Aliens: Nightmare Asylum
  2. Aliens: Labyrinth
  3. Aliens: Genocide
  4. Aliens vs. Predator
  5. Aliens: Salvation
  6. Alien: Bloodlines, Revival & Icarus
  7. Aliens: Music of the Spears
  8. Aliens: Outbreak
  9. Aliens: Dead Orbit
  10. Aliens: Sacrifice

Apparently I get dog food from Robin these days. Burt Ward makes a healthy dog food brand called Gentle Giants.

I really enjoyed it. I’d say it was as good as the first one of the new series. Not on the level as sequels two and three but I look forward to seeing where this story goes. Solid 8 from me.

I’ve greatly enjoyed pulling the series. I’ll likely call it when Johson leaves but I understand and respect his rational.

I enjoyed it. Not amazing but solid. I think it’s the fourth best movie in the franchise after the first 3. I think it had a little too much fan service and effects could have been better but acting and story were very good, especially the android. Hopefully it is a star-making role for him. I’d definitely watch a sequel that continues the story of the characters if one happens.

Agreed. Looks like he may be fighting it legally too.

So many storylines with the team entering this season. Of course Landeskog and Nichuskin are at the top but young incoming players are also intriguing. If Kovalenko and Richie can make solid contributions and the team gets and stays healthy, they have a good shot at the cup this coming season.

Why choose? How about a lightsaber with an adamantium hilt?

Not bad, but I think NECA really nailed the look of the turtles from the movie.

Anyone else pick up this issue? It has great stories from nearly every incarnation of the franchise. Very well done anniversary issue. 4️⃣0️⃣🥷 🐢!

I agree with pretty much everything in the video. There have been great comic and TV adaptations of the characters but the 1990 movie still stands up as the best TMNT film in my opinion. What do others think?

Fair analysis in my opinion. Avs have 2C position locked up for remainder of prime championship window years. What do others think?

Kudos to Nate Dog! Much deserved.

I’d give it a solid A- or B+. I didn’t connect with any of the characters as much as in the previous trilogy, but I found the movie very engaging from start to finish. I look forward to seeing where this new set of movies goes.

What did others think?

It pains me to say it but:

  • Dallas was the better team
  • Avs didn’t get enough traffic in front of Ottinger like they did in game 5.
  • Duchene scoring the winning goal stings, but if he’s going to win a cup, his best chance is this year with Dallas. A Stars/Panthers final would be a physical battle for sure.
  • Avs won’t get the chance to beat Canucks or Oilers, which they could have probably besten
  • Parise not winning a cup is a bummer
  • Dallas impressed me with their energy in series after their 7 game series in round 1. Hats off to them.

Looking ahead:

  • team still has 2–3 year cup window if managed well and able to stay healthy
  • hopefully Landeskog can come back and be effective or great
  • As an Avs fan, I wish Nichuskin well but I don’t want to see him in an Avs jersey ever again. Too much of a risk and he has torpedoed two playoff runs in a row. Team needs to find a way to move him and use money to sign Druin or keep a healthy Landeskog on team.
  • Georgiev saved his career with solid play and earned the chance to stay in the number one role. Annunen looks primed for opportunity though if Georgiev falters.
  • Avs 4th and 3rd lines can be better with a full year of Kovalenko. Cogliano may have to leave or retire to open a spot.
  • I really like Middlestad in that 2C position moving forward.
  • If Avs and Landeskog can rest up and maintain their hunger, I still like their chances to compete for cups over next 2–3 years.
