A lot less VCDs and MP3s downloaded from FTP servers and BBSes.
Not sure if I’d bring it back, but I sure do miss the fun of playing Quake against my mates on public servers.
Hoping someone more in the know can explain this to me. Could commissioning an art piece feasibly mean you've paid for that art to be yours? Are there types of contracts available when commissioning art pieces where, conceivably, the person commissioning the piece gets the rights to use it for other things?
I'm not across the legal and ethical aspects of commissioning art pieces, and neither the article or the DA post gives any additional detail. Just wondering if the "Josh" who the artist named in their DeviantArt post be someone who was involved in the Nerf gun somehow...
No judgement here, and my wife has always said she never judges how anyone gives birth.
Question was asked. I answered. That is all.
Watching her give birth to our daughter. No drugs. Just natural child birth (in a hospital).
Years later, discussing childbirth with her (now) 20yo daughter (my step daughter), when asked why she did it that way for all three of her kids, she simply said it was something she wanted go go through, to feel connected to the experience of having her kids.
Awe and pride don't even begin to explain what I felt (and still feel) for my wife.

Unfortunately not. I need to park nearby in case I have to go to another one of our work locations out west. Public transport isn’t an option for those locations, and I need my vehicle.
Jesus. I hope all the fuckery is done by the 16th. MCEC is the only place I can park when I have to go into our city office.
IMO, this is yet another government initiative that's turning out to be an absolute joke.
My 9yo daughter has been hounding our household to not throw our 10c deposit containers into the council bin. Instead, she wants to collect them and cash them in using the CDS Vic scheme. As she puts it, we get money AND the containers get recycled properly, rather than what happens with our commingled recycling bin.
The problem is, every time I go to one of the reverse vending machines in my area, they're out of order, or there's only one receiver working, with about six people in line, all with several bags or boxes each.
Then the CDS Vic app itself says the same operator is running an over the counter collection at our local netball club, but someone was dreaming when they put that into the app. I've never seen anyone collecting recycling there, and I drive past it at least twice daily.
The operator in our area (Return-It) should lose their contract for being fucking useless.
This has been going on for so long now, that I'm now holding an estimated 400-600 bottles and cans, which my daughter is begging me to not toss out, so we can get rid of them "the right way".
I'm all for doing the right thing, and making sure recyclables are, well, recycled properly, but when the personal inconvenience level is so high, all it does is cost more taxpayer dollars without moving the needle on our recycling performance.

Can't even take a short break from 3D designing stuff. Glad I'm switching over to FreeCAD. All I wanted was to grab some dimensions from an old model.
