several US officials told The New York Times this week that Netanyahu is "seeking to run out the clock until the American election" to secure a ceasefire deal that would release the remaining captives held in Gaza.

The officials also suggested that Netanyahu might face less pressure to make concessions for an agreement if Republican nominee and former US President Donald Trump wins the presidential election in November.

Canada’s Jewish National Fund has tried to hide its support for Israel’s colonization of Palestinian land. But Israeli organizations are evading soldiers and settlers to expose their projects

To believe that Biden and Harris push for a real ceasefire is to accept the fantasy that they can be advocates for peace when they are already the primary enablers of genocide.

There is, they didn't want to hear what she had to say.

I think it is imperative that she win the election. It's not hyperbole when I say that a second Trump term could result in the end of organized human survival. Having said that I don't believe she will be any better than Biden. When I post things critical of Kamala Harris it's because I recognize how much work is needed in order to force her administration to be better than her predecessor.

If you think Kamala Harris is going to take action to end the ongoing genocide in Gaza, please tell me specifically why you believe that.

You have to be truly fucking stupid to think Harris is going to be any different than Biden on ending genocide.

In front of an excitable crowd chanting “USA, USA, USA”, Harris deployed familiar language: “I will always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself, and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself. Because the people of Israel must never again face the horror that a terrorist organisation called Hamas caused on October 7, including unspeakable sexual violence and the massacre of young people at a music festival.”

The references to sexual violence and the festival massacre have long been deployed as a way to legitimise Israel’s war on the whole of Gaza, which has continued for nearly a year now.

Meanwhile, Palestinians are raped in Israeli prisons, and Israeli politicians openly say this is justified. Harris, like most US leaders, had nothing to say about it.
