I think most modern screens are brighter and more vibrant than a CRT (with proper HDR, doubt any CRT could be 1200+ nits) , but definitely the pixel switching, smearing and delay is a lot worse.

Hope so! modern OLED's are far more resistant to fading, but would be nice for that to be a thing of the past!

Only GAAS game I loved was Super Monday Night Combat

Put hundreds of great hours into the game!

yea,

I work in engineering, and pretty much every estimate we do isn't large enough. Ever project tenders high.

In 2002, Campbell’s Liberal government forecast operational spending of $25.6 billion. Horgan’s first budget forecast spending of $53.6 billion

Wait, the operational budget has increased in 20 years? say its not so! $25.6B in 2002 money is equivalent to $44.71B in 2024 money, so the increase is only $8.9B. Thats crazy good! Cudo's to the NDP

Even with what you said, that doesn't change the fact that if OTHER people are taking transit, it still benefits the people who aren't taking transit, which is what my comment was addressing.

if 10% of people took transit instead of driving, then there would be 10% fewer people on the road, 10% fewer cars in parking lots, 10% less maintenance... all of which benefits you.

If public transit was more powerful, there would be less traffic on the road (which is good for drivers), less road maintenance needed (which is good for drivers) more parking available (which is good for drivers)...

I mean, it doesn't surprise me.

My GFil found out he had stage 4 throat cancer, by that point he was completely unable to eat or drink, and was in his 90s. He requested MAID, which likely saved him a couple weeks to a month of suffering

His pregnant granddaughter held his hand as he left this world.

This would be chalked as a MAID death, even if it only saved him a couple weeks of suffering.

i love the "i didnt post anything offensive, i just said that "Israel are nazis"" claim.

Like, I'm no Israel sympathizer, and think they are genociding the Palastinian people, but that claim is so deep rooted in antisemitism its idiotic

Supcom FAF is still one of my favorite games!

I'm still annoyed how this is made. i always assumed it just split it into two base100 connections. the fact that they were too cheap to do even that is... just stupid.
