Maybe talking about the King fire? But that was 2014. Maybe some other idiot did the same thing.

El Dorado County District Attorney Vern Pierson said Friday that Huntsman, a former inmate firefighter, sought to portray himself as a hero by taking a “selfie” video of himself surrounded by flames. Pierson’s office also was aided in its probe by help from witnesses.

Thanks. A handy verse to throw in the face of those who claim to be Christians.

These third party types always claim that they want to reform the system. That's bullshit. If you want to reform this system then you need to start at the bottom. You need to recruit candidates and invest in winning at local and state level first. Those are the most winnable offices for an outsider/independent. Hell, win a few critical states and you can get enough states in the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which, while not an ideal solution, would be a good first step in reforming the system.

Once you have some power and recognition at the state level, you need to aim for Congress. Start winning seats in the House and Senate and you can really start making change. That is where the real power of change resides. How many times have we seen a president with a divided House and/or Senate have their policy goals effectively neutered by legislative antagonism? Without support from the House and Senate, a 3rd party president would be powerless.

Stein cannot possibly enact positive change even if there were a literal miracle and she became president. The only thing, literally the only thing she can do by running for President is get Trump elected.

If this was staged, I think it was staged to trigger Trump's cultists to try and take out Harris. They want them all to react just like "Leon" did.

That may be the statement they want to make, but the statement they are making is: Condemn Israel or we will let the fascists install a virulently anti-Muslim dictator who will actively help Israel wipe out Palestine.

Shooter (if he ever actually got a shot off) is an American who has tried to recruit other to fight in Ukraine against Russia. Curiously, he is also a former Trump voter.

His X account, which has now been suspended, included a number of posts about Trump. "@realDonaldTrump While you were my choice in 2106, I and the world hoped that president Trump would be different and better than the candidate, but we all were greatly disappointment and it seems you are getting worse and devolving," he wrote in one post in June 2020. "I will be glad when you gone."

They are not rejecting the system. To do that they would need to leave and go somewhere else. What they, and you, are doing is refusing to participate in the system as it currently functions and by doing so allowing the system to put a fascist in charge, a fascist that will happily wipe them out.

Someone should explain to those Muslims in Wisconsin that Stein literally cannot win their state. She has no electors. State law requires that a candidates electors be nominated by state office holders. The greens have no state office holders so they cannot nominate any electors. Even if Stein were to somehow win the state, she can't get the electoral votes for Wisconsin. All she can do is again steal enough votes from Harris to give the election to Trump.

Trump started it. Back in 2020 there was a coronavirus stimulus package going through the legislature. The Democrats tried to include some amendments that would make it easier for people to vote during the stimulus. Basic stuff like easier mail in voting and extended voting days. Trump's reaction on Fox News showed that they clearly understand that more voting is bad for Republicans.

“The things they had in there were crazy. They had things, levels of voting that if you’d ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again”

That she is still, at her core, a republican piece of shit

Seconded. I like to remind people that while in office, she voted with Trump over 92% of the time.

Name five cops who don't.

Alternative headline: Trump finally tells the truth about something.

Republicans, in one of the more moronic takes of the election season, say that if Biden is too old to run for office, then he's too old to hold the office and should resign.

Fulton County prosecutors filed an emergency request for a protective order in the Georgia election subversion case on Tuesday after recorded statements made by multiple defendants as part of their plea deals were made public.

On Monday, ABC News and The Washington Post published footage of the proffer sessions, which showed the four defendants who pleaded guilty being questioned by prosecutors about their involvement in various efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Prosecutors said the footage was turned over to the remaining defendants as part of discovery, urging the court to impose restrictions on how the defendants can disclose the materials.

“The release of these confidential video recordings is clearly intended to intimidate witnesses in this case, subjecting them to harassment and threats prior to trial, constitutes indirect communication about the facts of this case with codefendants and witnesses, and obstructs the administration of justice, in violation of the conditions of release imposed on each defendant,” prosecutors wrote in their motion.

To prevent further disclosure, prosecutors said they will not provide videos of any proffer sessions to defendants moving forward.

“Instead, defendants must come to the District Attorney’s Office to view confidential video recordings of proffers. They may take notes, but they will be prohibited from creating any recordings or reproductions,” prosecutors wrote in the filing.

Last weekend, an auction held at his Florida home saw the item, described as "a one of a kind Trump Glock from the 45th President of the United States Donald J. Trump," go up for bidding during a charity event. Pictures circulating on social media show the gun being presented at the auction, with news website Meidas Touch saying that bidding for the item began at $10,000.

However, the transaction could land the former U.S. president in considerable trouble, given that federal law prohibits those under indictment from transacting firearms. Trump is embroiled in active legal proceedings, having testified at a civil trial over the New York investigation into financial fraud at the Trump Organization. The former president has denied all wrongdoing and repeatedly said that the ongoing federal and civil cases against him are part of a political witch hunt.
