Come on Bethesda... You should know by now that you can't stop the modding community. If anything this will just make it more popular. Also you didn't make the first DOOM you just have the rights so shut yer pie hole.

I also have no opinion on the mod.

Who even gives a ๐Ÿ’ฉ about Bethesda's modding platforms? Mods are made and maintained by the community. When marketed by big B, a mod is not a mod anymore - it becomes a DLC.

That is a very PC centric view on modding, not everybody plays on PC. The official mod platforms are the only possible way to play mods on (not jail broken) consoles.

Why do we care what Bethesda thinks of WADS

[โ€“] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

Because on consoles that is the only possible way to install and use mods.

I probably would have never heard of it. Now I really want to play it.

If developers can ban them, then they're not mods, you're just doing unpaid work

Does it work in GZDoom with the Freedoom IWAD?

Eh, it's annoying but it wasn't even a very good wad. If you want to play it, you can just download it off the internet and play it on another free sourceport.
