Is there a place off Kbin to get information about what's going on with Kbin? (kbin.social)

Since the site has been down for all but a few hours of the last week, I've really wanted somewhere I can get a little information about what's going on.

Is there a mastodon dev account, or an off-site blog or even just a community on Lemmy?

We can see Ernest’s posts on Mastadon but he hasn’t posted anything in a couple months.

No, there's no other communication avenue. Ernest posts to his kbin account.

I started considering hosting my own instance for private or limited use. Any thoughts?

I tried logging in on my main account but Kbin wouldnt let me if I used my username it said invalid credentials and if I used my email it just brought up the error 50 thing. I made Matrix space so kbin users can still talk to each other when it is down. #kbin.social:matrix.org
Also Ernest this is a temporary account I don't mind if it gets deleted.

i had to post this on a local account because kbin.social federation is now > 3 day behind

my instance has open signups with a similar interface using mbin; https://moist.catsweat.com if anyone wants a backup
