The passengers of Prigozhin’s plane are two of his closest associates and veterans of the Syrian Wagner campaign

The Federal Air Transport Agency has published a list of passengers who were allegedly on board the crashed plane of Yevgeny Prigozhin . We found out who they were.

✈️ Valery Chekalov is one of the Concorde managers closest to Prigogine. He oversaw all of Prigozhin's "civilian" projects abroad and was responsible for the logistical support of the Wagner group. It was Chekalov who headed JSC Neva, the founder of Euro Polis LLC, to which all Syrian and African projects were tied

✈️ Dmitry Utkin . Prigozhin's right hand in the Wagner PMC. Responsible for command and combat training.

✈️ Yevgeny Makaryan , call sign "Makar". Former precinct. He joined Wagner in March 2016 . He was part of the fourth Wagner assault detachment in Syria, which came under fire from American aircraft near Khsham in January 2017.

✈️ Sergey Propustin , call sign "Kedr", ensign. He joined Wagner in March 2015. He fought in the second reconnaissance and assault detachment. Prigozhin recruited many personal guards from there.

✈️ Alexander Totmin , callsign "Tot".

✈️ Nikolai Matuseev . We could not find a person with that name on the Wagner lists. But there is Nikolai Matusevich . At Wagner since January 2017. He served as a shooter in the fourth assault detachment in Syria.

Meanwhile, Prigozhin's wife Lyubov continues her long-planned vacation in India , says a Dossier source familiar with the family.

We do not know whether the information about the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin and Dmitry Utkin can be trusted. But if it is confirmed, it will mean that fewer and fewer people remain alive who are familiar with the circumstances of the murder of Russian journalists in the Central African Republic in 2019. We appeal to the employees of Prigozhin's "Company": if you know any details of the crime in the Central African Republic, contact the "Dossier" Center and tell your story. We will not be in debt.

Would not have been his pilot after the mutiny.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago

Sure, we've had one mutiny, but... What about second mutiny?

I don't think he knows about second mutiny, Pip.

Would've been so easy for Putin to assassinate him but of course they take the route involving murdering a bunch of random civilians alongside him and potentially endangering more on the ground

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 year ago (4 children)

I very much doubt that the people on the private plane with that guy were chosen completely at random.

Well that gives new meaning to “ falling out of a window”.

"The Ruzzians are evolving, now they're pushing planes out of windows!"

A bomb is much, much more efficient than a missile. I’d be very surprised if a missile was used. Also, it would be unlikely for both him and Utzin to be on the same plane, for exactly this reason.

It’s going to be hard to unpack all these rumors for a few days unless we see a living Utzin or Prigozhin soon. A strong possible narrative here would be Utzin selling out his boss in exchange for amnesty, in which case it behooves him to disappear.

Edit: notice we don’t see a missile exhaust trail to the aircraft and a burst pattern for one in the start of the video. With the war on, there are plenty of videos showing a missile strike on an aircraft to compare to.

The smoke trail on the left at the start of the video was reported to be from the missile. There are a few photos that claim to show damage from an S-300 missile. However, I've heard rumors about a box of wine that was gifted to them before takeoff, and another about unusual plane maintenance.

I've updated the title to reflect the current level of uncertainty.

Also this:

Okay with the last picture I’m upping my suspicion of a rocket a bit more.

New rumor: its possible Prigozhin wasn’t actually on the plane.

Apparently he frequently registers for one plane, then boards another one, for personal security reasons.

It'll be interesting to see how the Russian military tries to save face if he survived.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

Off the top of my head: prigozhin crashed his own plane so he could blame it on us. Seems like something they would do

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

The Wagner group confirmed he was killed

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The "second angle" linked is of a different aircraft. The first video may be a Legacy 600 but the second looks like a twin turboprop of some kind- Saab 2000 or similar.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well now isn't this surprising news that nobody could have seen coming lol

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I figured he was going to be killed but my bet was on the old "fell from a window"

I already read a report that there were 2 planes, of which the 2nd returned after the incident... I'm curious if he was on the 1st (shot down) plane or the 2nd.

When he was in the 2nd and survived things could 'get interesting' in Russia.

May Putin live in interesting times.

What an obscene country. With every breath it takes, it spews out regressiveness, barbarism.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Woah!

What country did this happen in? He was previously sticking to Belarus, Russia, and Africa.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 year ago

The private jet belonging to Prigozhin was shot down by Russian air defence while flying from Moscow to St Petersburg this is from grey zone a Wagner affiliated telegram channel

“The Embraer Legacy 600 business jet with registration number RA-02795, which belonged to Yevgeny Prigozhin, was shot down by air defense fire in the Bologovsky district of the Tver region.

He should have left Russia completely, when he had a chance

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

TASS reports that it happened in Tver Oblast northwest of Moscow.

Ooh-ooh-ooh! Do Putin next!! 🤩🙌🏽

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Alas no. Pooty’s got enough brains to know friends and foes alike are gunnin’ for him. He’s VERY careful when disclosing his intentions and whereabouts. If you want to do him, someone from the inside has got to give him up.. ( cue up Attack on Titan final season opening theme: My War)

Whoa. Now that Wagners #1 got dusted, I guess all his little green men shut their shoulders and go back to plowing potatoes, right? Yah, right. Now that the demon lord is dead, all his minions have be given free reign to do to Putin what he did to their boss. Stay tuned…

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Aren't these guys mercenaries? Do they have any real allegiance to this guy beyond money?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

To be quite honest, this was the Riddler taking out Darkseid. And while Edward has the $$$ and the genius behind him, he may have failed to take to account those in D’seids thrall who may now be gunnin’ for HIS scrawny ass for shits and giggles. Wagner is known for one thing, settling scores. And unless Mad Vlad has already settled the scales with coin for all those unemployed mercs , all those loyal to Prez are gonna be pissed.. Hey ,you dust my boss, maybe we dust you. Fair is fair.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago (3 children)

@Wilshire We do not know if the monster is dead. It was on the passenger list, but we don't know if it actually was on the plane.
Prigozhin might have staged it. I don't know how likely that is. Even if his corpse gets identified by the russian liars - do we believe this? Let's wait and get more information.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Yes, he's "reportedly" dead, but we may never know since his body was burned. I thinks it's 50/50.

All Ukraine needs is one insider to let intelligence know poo man’s movements. Then pop goes the poo man. Do the world a favour and make him fall out a window already.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

I would be actually surprised if the US didn't know exactly where he is.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How can you tell whose plane it is?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

OK thanks, it looks like it was confirmed by multiple sources. Now about who shot it down: are we sure it was Russian military?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How did Prigozhin not see something like this coming?

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It is my understanding that missiles fly at a high rate of speed and are difficult to see as they approach.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

And remember from the missile's perspective:

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
