Then does it use just that one video as a base for all recommendations? Either way, I hope they never fix this vast improvement, it made me realize what I already knew deep down, I hate algorithmically generate feeds with a fucking passion.

MODERATORS
Yeah I've been using Newpipe and Libretube and they work like RSS feeds. No algorithm whatsoever.
Probably not because the home feed has existed without issue for years with my history turned off. This change only exists to convince people to turn their history on. I don't know why they even need our permission rather than just removing it as an option to have it off, but I'm glad I can.
Joke's on them, I don't want Youtube recommendations anyway. I just search for the stuff I want and subscribe to the channels I like. Besides, I've made my Youtube front page blank with CSS to avoid all the spam.
