Man, I might find this impossible to watch for the same reason I can't really watch pandemic related media since covid. It'll give me too much anxiety because at this point it could become very real.

Yeah same, I can't bring myself to watch any of that. I go to the movies to escape reality, not have it be forced on me. (And I know, the best media usually is a commentary, but damn if I have to see that every day please let me just escape it)

This is so exciting! I kept seeing Garland was working on "civil war" but I had no idea it was a modern civil war.

President Ron Swanson, haha nice. Freckled guy from Devs is in there too.

Garland seems to be leaning hard into the Orwell sci-fi territory with his cautionary tales of potential future horrors.
