This just shows that the "Russian Threat" is non-existent. If Russia was a serious threat to the EU, those countries would be heavily militarized with strong state weapons industries. The fact that Europeans have such a lackluster production, shows that they don't really believe Russia is any threat to them.

Exactly, and US is basically the sole reason why there are poor relations between Europe and Russia. Both greatly benefit economically from having good relations, and after USSR collapsed there isn't even any real ideological difference. The whole conflict is entirely artificial and serves to keep Europe subservient to US interests.

In hindsight, maybe the idea that a peer conflict could be won with a peacetime economy is actually just incredible hubris.

Many in Ukraine and the West underestimated Russia’s ability to rebound from battlefield disasters and exploit its perennial strengths: manpower, mines and a willingness to sacrifice lives on a scale that few other countries can countenance.

The poverty, desperation and fear of the tens of thousands of conscripted Russian soldiers made them an ideal workforce. “All you need is slave power,” he said.

And then

Ukraine’s armored vehicles were being destroyed by Russian helicopters, drones and artillery with every attempt to advance. Without air support, he said, the only option was to use artillery to shell Russian lines, dismount from the targeted vehicles and proceed on foot.

Accusing Russia of throwing bodies at tanks and then they describe Ukraine doing literally that.

i mean South Korea is one of the most militarized countries on earth u know on account of them being at war for the last 70 years, they have a massive conscription program going on so it makes sense that they would have the military production to back that up. im pretty sure the South Korean military is bigger than all of europes combined, and if its not its close.
