lol and they claim they've always been the true fans and claim us "wokies" are the newbie tourists raining on their silly little parade
they 100% would've called me a fake/new guilty gear fan if they found out about my stance on bridget (before she came out as a girl i already viewed her as a woman - this was when i was just a kid mind you) despite guilty gear being my childhood lmfao
I mean that's kinda how colonialism does. Come in, stake a claim on a space, decide their canon is the only canon and then accuse you of being an invader when you were there all along.
It's so infuriating. The meltdown about Bridget was so fucking dumb too. It wasn't even a leap in logic. It was all in the text if you paid attention.
But if you did that, then you would have to acknowledge the idea of Bridget's personhood.
lol tell me about it. i saw people claiming that she was "GrOoMeD" to be trans by her opponents in the bad ending and that she continued to maintain her previous gender identity in the "good ending". also the fact someone made an hour/1h30m long video essay whining about bridget's current gender identity was just the cherry on top.
