Single winner elections are the problem, because no single candidate or party can represent the will of the diverse electorate. So when you get rid of first past the post, which is a terrible system that absolutely must go, don't just replace it with instant rumoff voting or star voting or whatever voting scheme continues to ignore everyone else.
