You know you can just download arbitrary ttf files to ~/.fonts
You don't need to install them system wide. That's where my Comic Sans and Gnommish fonts live
sploosh.
Except
~/.fontsisn't XDG Base Directory compliant. You should put them in${XDG_DATA_HOME:-$HOME/.local/share}/fontsinstead so as to not pollute your home directory with dotfiles.SPLOOSH!
