MSOutlookit is a "skin" for Reddit that makes it look like Outlook. In case the joke isn't clear it makes it easier to hide Reddit browsing at work from folks looking over your shoulder. http://pcottle.github.io/MSOutlookit/

It's just super disheartening to see Reddit themselves show this off after killing third party apps.

To me, the most disheartening thing about it is how most people didn't care.

Agreed. I am enjoying Lemmy though. I don't think it will ever realistically compete with Reddit but I am enjoying it and try to make content.
