In yet another sign of the apocalypse, there is an Australian version of The Office releasing soon on Amazon Prime.
The trailer is....well....the trailer.
truly the darkest timeline hey. Edit: OH man, I only got through like 30 seconds of the trailer. What in the absolute hell is this shit?!
Whoever is in charge of development for Prime Australia needs to be shot into the sun.
10 years too late and absolute shite. Like it misses the charm of The Office and charm of being Australian.
I'll admit, I was never a fan of the original. Just a touch too awkward for me. But isn't it just condescending AF to be like "heres a tv show as if you dont speak the same language of the previous 2 iterations of the same damn show"?
I wasn't the fan of the UK one, even though I love everything Gervais has done since. The US version grew on me and did enjoy it. This one though....no thanks.

Unfortunately no. It's legit and it's happening.
I'm sad that I watched the trailer. The US version is one of my favourite shows... why are they just rehashing the same main character traits? The boss is trying to be like Michael, there's a Dwight character in there, what the hell.
A colleague was telling me about an Arabic version thatβs pretty good. Canβt personally confirm.
