Only thing that's really off is that most people don't need to update BIOS with any frequency, if at all, given the potential for ruining your PC. I certainly wouldn't trust my parents with doing it on their own.

Reddit is hardly anti-American in the aggregate. And not nearly the same percentage of posts get political for no reason. Definitely agree on missing satire, though. Lemmy is just hyper-distilled reddit.

Lmao do you know what platform you're on right now? I'm actually surprised OP is getting downvoted because this type of comment is the epitome of Lemmy. Missing satire/missing the point, anti-American, pointlessly bringing in politics/culture in a negative way. This has been my experience 80% of the time here.

There is a great benefit to having a strong US-backed military presence in the middle East for the general security of the US. That's the long and short of it for Republicans.

That case was made possible by FDR's New Deal creating limits on wheat production. While I think it could have been argued many different ways, they did present a fairly logical argument using the commerce clause against the ND law.

The Genesis quote isn't wrong, Earth will be fine in the long run despite what we're doing to it. Now humans being part of the equation once we've made it uninhabitable for our species is a different story, and I think she is incorrectly assuming that we will also "never cease".

Commercial fryers keep a higher, more consistent temperature, which is ideal for frying food. As long as the cook knows what they're doing, keeps the oil fresh, etc., you will always get a better result from a restaurant fryer (not talking about CFA anymore).

It is good for fast food and, despite being packed, you could join a line of 20 cars and still be on your way in under five minutes. They are incredibly efficient and that helps when people are making decisions, especially with a screaming child in the back.
