So far, the TSA has intercepted 28 guns this year, just at Reagan National Airport.

Also from the article, in just Q1 of this year the TSA intercepted about 1500 guns nationwide, 93% of which were loaded. That’s actually a slight decline from the same time period last year. For 2023 as a whole the TSA intercepted almost 7,000 guns nationwide, an average of 16.5 per day.
