I haven't played any of those (I don't have a current gen console), I am still more interested in trying out the HP game before the others though.
You're getting backlash because the game is pretty controversial, but I get it if you're interested. The concept of Hogwarts Legacy is appealing to long-time fans of the series. I personally never played it because I'm too busy going through Fire Emblem rom hacks

I like HP games, they were truly magic (pun intended) for me as a child, especially the HP games for PSX (yeah I love ugly Hagrid LMAO) and the HP 2 game for the Game Boy Color, I still need to play the first one though.
I have played some others, but these are marked in my brain, and yeah, having a current game of this premise is a good incentive to at least give it a try.
Fire Emblem is another franchise I need to check out BTW!
Just replay the old games. If you've played any modern open-world ubisoft game, you've played hogleg.
Yeah, I am not very fond of Ubisoft games to be honest.
